Scoring
- Update chain scoring to quadratically scale with the size
- Update X combo to be of size 13 instead of 14
- Update leveling and grading based on above
- S rank is only achievable if you overflow once
- Giant and Standard have new complete game time gradings (1 star: <= 18, 2 star <= 14, 3 star <= 10)
- Zip swapping now awards points (10 normally, 20 for panic) and is scaled by overflow
- Update combo, chain, and grading to have more difficulty-specific benchmarks
- Remove scaled-level milestone bonuses
- Completed a section now just gives 1000 no matter the section
- Timed milestones are as follows:
- greater than 90 -> 1000 pts
- less than or equal to 90 -> 2500 pts
- less than or equal to 80 -> 5000 pts
- less than or equal to 70 -> 7500 pts
- less than or equal to 65 -> 10000 pts
- less than or equal to 60 -> 20000 pts
- Panic bonuses are applied under different criteria based on difficulty
- For dwarf, there must be no freeze time or rise brakes
- For standard, there must be no freeze time
- And for giant, panic bonuses are always applied
- Add a maximum to chain scoring
- Fix time comparison in records (time sorts by ascending)
- Fix Practice grading ignoring time on uncompleted sessions
- Fix Dwarf NOT grading complete runs properly
Fuel
- Fuel depletion now only freezes for the first 4 pieces to clear in a special match
- The previously implemented exception for the halfway fuel depletion speed split while in overflow is removed
- Update giant and standard depletion rates
- Standard starts at 60fps and drops to 40fps at lvl 500
- Giant starts at 50fps and drops to 35 fps at lvl 500
- The depletion drops occur at lvl 200 for Dwarf, rather than halfway (lvl 150)
- Update overflow meter to 4 units instead of 8 units
Freeze times
- Freeze times are slightly more generous
Difficulty Changes
Practice
Remove chain lift
All classic difficulties
Halfway through a run, the fuel depletion time will half (for example, at level 500 in standard, fuel depletion will occur every 30 frames, rather than 60)
Dwarf
Double the fuel depletion time, instead of every 60 frames, it is every 120 frames
Giant
Set top-out delay to 45 frames
Visual updates
- Add looping star background to the game session
- Fix jittering in pulse animation
- Update macOs mandatory splash screen, and icon
- Fix accelerated countdown skipping numbers
- Don uses the encouraging face when graded above F in practice
- Fix cursor still being moveable when invisible
- Fix various overflowing speech issues
Optimizations
- Add sprite creation clean up in menus
- Update matchmaker clean up, to ensure structures are always removed from memory
RNG Algorithm
- Update the 'history' generation, the structure that holds all the pieces placed
- The above change, just makes the generation more reliable
- Add bomb omission rule for trying to force more than 25 bombs
- Update bomb forcing rule to only force with more than 11 frequency
- The above condition was not working in previous builds, it is now working
- Move bomb omission to post conditions (rules that must occur)
- Avoid more than maxSame is the only condition (tries three times)
Options
- Add default, deutan, protan and tritan color filters (should be used with bomb skin 01)
- Lift type is now a selectable option in the Misc menu (only for DEMO)
Records
- Fix records inaccurately ordering complete games
